Chapter Philanthropy

Our chapter supports our national philanthropy, Reading Is Fundamental along with many other charities and philanthropic events.

Every year in the Fall, we team up with Sigma Pi fraternity to host an event called "Spare the Hooters" where we bowl to raise money for breast cancer research. In Spring, we host "Kappa Kickball" where teams compete tournament style and raise for Reading Is Fundamental. We are very excited to have gotten approved to host our first "girls academy" for young girls in Santa Cruz through Kappa Headquarters in the Spring of 2018.

In addition, we sponsor a family in need around the holidays and host clothing and book drives throughout the year. Many sisters volunteer throughout the year with various foundations, including the Boys and Girls Club and the local Women's Center in efforts to support our Santa Cruz community and the Polar Plunge to support the Special Olympics!
